Frozen Yogi: The Best Frozen Yogurt in Ubud
We’ve been enjoying Frozen Yogi since they set up shop in Ubud roughly four years ago. As the first ever frozen yogurt in Ubud (and in Bali- they’re also in Seminyak!), these guys have mastered the sweet treat. Located on Jalan Dewi Sita, opposite the Soccer Field, it’s in the perfect location; walking distance from anywhere in central Ubud.
The brightly coloured store is hard to miss, and the interiors are equally vibrant (and refreshing… hello A/C!). Frozen Yogi is the best retreat from the heat. Choosing the perfect dessert is easy:
Step Three: Add those toppings! You can go the healthy route of fresh tropical fruits such as mango and lychee. Or treat yourself to the chocolate section (tim tams, oreos, chocolate sprinkles).
Step Four: Weight and pay. Let the kind staff weigh your masterpiece and pay. There are convenient payment options such as Go-Pay and We-Chat pay.
For those of you that ‘um’ and ‘ahh’ before deciding whether or not to indulge themselves in dessert it’s worth noting that Frozen Yogi’s soft-serve is rich in probiotics (friendly bacteria that aid gastro-intestinal health), and all of the flavours on tap are fat free! They are also organically met and certified by the USDA, FDA, CAHFS and is EU-compliant.
People with dietary restrictions or following a vegan diet needn’t fear about missing out on dessert! Frozen Yogi offer vegan and sugar free yogurt, which is made from local coconuts! Available upon request, just ask the friendly staff.
The perfect dessert is not the only reason we are obsessed with our fro-yo friends, they’re also infused with an ethical goodness that can be rare to find on this island. Frozen Yogi are determined to keep their price-point at an affordable range so everyone can enjoy dessert; tourists and locals alike – making it the best frozen yogurt in Ubud!
They’re also dedicated to empowering their female staff, through educating them about their finances and giving them means to gain some financial independence and investments. So, when you eat dessert, there’s literally a ripple effect that benefits the locals…as if we needed another reason to eat dessert for lunch!
