Plumeria Restaurant: at the Mansion Wellness Centre

In Blog, Restaurants by UbudHood

Plumeria Restaurant could be one of Ubud’s best kept hidden paradises. Specialising in Artisan Pescatarian Cuisine, their extensive menu offers an outstanding selection of high-quality and beautifully presented meals. The restaurant is a part of The Mansion Wellness Centre, meaning that delicious food is not the only offering at this hot-spot in the hills of Sayan.

PLUMERIA RESTAURANT & GALLERY

Plumeria Restaurant is the newest addition to The Mansion in Sayan. And true to form, it boasts pure elegance at every turn. Don’t let the chandeliers deter you from a visit, as the price point for the menu is incredibly reasonable. This is not an overly-priced fancy restaurant, it’s a luxe and affordable dining experience that is as delicious as the food’s aesthetic is beautiful.

The menu is primarily plant based and pescatarian, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options along with the occasional fish/seafood dish. Local and foreign chefs have worked to develop the menu which is centred around wellbeing and wellness. Organic produce is used throughout the menu and the on-site aquaponic garden contributes herbs & garnishes to the meals.

Along with the regular menu, there’s options for various high-teas and gong-parade ceremonies with Indonesian Rijstaffle. Additionally,  the renowned Chef Alejandro Montaño (a.k.a. Chef Patron Bali) created an epic signature plant-based menu specifically for Plumeria (those jackfruit tacos…yum!)!

As it is connected to the Mansion Wellness Centre, Plumeria Restaurant sits alongside a relaxing roof-top pool and garden. The pool is filtered with a special system that uses crystals (how Ubudian, right?!); meaning minimal chlorine is used in the water. There’s a bamboo hut alongside the pool for group hangs, and beanbags and sun lounges around the waters-edge.

Above Plumeria is one of the most beautiful open-air Yoga shalas in Ubud. And in the Wellness Centre beneath the restaurant is an indoor room for those more aerobic-style classes. You can check out their classes here.
