Lembah Ayung Restaurant: at Pramana Watu Kurung

Perched over the Ayung River Valley, only 15 minutes from central Ubud, is Lembah Ayung Restaurant. Attached to the stunning Pramana Watu Kurung Resort, this is much more than somewhere to grab a quick lunch. This is a dining experience that is all about the tropical landscape and flavors of traditional Bali.

To get to the restaurant you’ll walk through the resort, which was inspired by Panglipuran, one of the cleanest and most picturesque villages in Bali. The restaurant itself is housed in a beautiful traditional wooden joglo overlooking the resort’s pool and the lush jungle valley.

Lembah Ayung’s signature menu is packed full of traditional Balinese dishes using heritage rice, locally and sustainably grown veggies, and free range duck, chicken and other meats. If you’d like to try out a selection of Balinese dishes the Pramana Nasi Ungu is a must. This platter includes delicious aromatic rice, fish satay, chicken curry and of course some fragrant sambal for a little spice.

Other options include Indonesian favorites like beef rendang, chicken satay and fried rice or noodles. For those who want to enjoy the atmosphere and breathtaking views but are more into Italian, Chinese or Indian dishes, there is plenty to choose from as well. As well as a comprehensive western menu.
